TICKETS: Demand for tickets to watch Boca Juniors far outweigh the capacity of La Bombonera. So, the only way to purchase tickets through the club and at face value is by becoming a member. There is an option to become an international member (socio). You can do this by visiting Primero pasos | Boca Socios - Club Atlético Boca Juniors. Once you have become a member you can purchase tickets on a first come first serve basis via the official website when tickets go on sale. Usually a week before matchday.


PRE MATCH: The neighbourhood of La Boca is also home to El Caminito. This popular tourist destination is famous for it brightly coloured houses. El Caminito has a number of bars and restaurants and is only a 5 minute walk from the stadium.


HISTORY IN A NUTSHELL: Formed in 1905 by Italian immigrants from Genoa, Boca first took part in the Primera in 1913. Boca's original colours were black and white stripes. In 1913 they settled on their current blue kit with a gold hoop. The inspiration for this was from a Swedish ship flying the Swedish flag that was docked in La Boca.

 

Boca have won the league on 35 occasions and have won 6 Copa Libertadores titles. Diego Maradona, Juan Roman Riquelme, Claudio Caniggia and Carlos Tevez are a few of the many world class footballers to have played for Xeneize.


DID YOU KNOW?: In 2003 Boca won the Primera (Apertura), the Copa Libertadores and then made history by beating AC Milan in the intercontinental cup all in the same year.

Directions

The most practical way to visit La Bombonera is by bus. From the centre of Buenos Aires Buses 10, 39, 45, 64 and 86 will take you to La Boca in approx. 25 minutes.
