TICKETS: Platense rarely sell out their home games. Tickets can be purchased directly with the club via their website Identification - TuEntrada. Tickets usually go on sale around a week before the match.

HISTORY IN A NUTSHELL: Known as ‘Squid’ after a journalist once said the team moved like a “squid in its ink” Platense were formed in 1905. The club achieved notoriety in the 1970’s after repeatedly surviving relegation on the last day of the season. As recently as 2001 Platense were playing in the 3rd tier of Argentinian football. In 2021 they returned to the Primera after a 22 year absence. They have won the Primera B once and the Primera B Metropilitana twice.

 

DID YOU KNOW?Despite numerous spells in the lower league Platense rank 16th in the Primera Liga all time table having spent 76 season in the top flight.


TOP TIPS: The stadium is a short walk from Aristibulo del Valle overground station but if you have time, take the underground to Congreso de Tucuman. From here is a is a 40 minute walk through the affluent neighbourhood of Nunez. Nunez is also home to River Plate and China Town.
