TICKETS: The stadium for Velez is probably a little big for the size of the club. So, getting tickets is relatively easy. You can usually purchase tickets on the days of the game at the stadium. Alternatively you can register to purchase tickets online at Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield - Powered by CleverSoft® Tickets go on sale approximately a week before match day. 

PRE MATCH: Fans will gather outside the stadium on Juan B Justo road pre match. The stadium is quite spacious so once inside the parameter of the ground but still outside of the stands fans will congregate and get the atmosphere going. 

HISTORY IN A NUTSHELL: Velez was founded on the 1st of January 1910 and gained affiliation to the Argentine Football Association in 1912. In 1919 they played in the Primera for the first time. They are named after they neighbourhood they are from. They first won the league in 1968 and have gone onto to lift the Primera title on 11 occasions. They also have one Copa Libertadores title to their name.

DID YOU KNOW?: In 2024 Velez Sarsfield won the league but also went onto lose 3 finals. They lost the Copa de la Liga final against Estudiantes, they lost to Central Cordoba in the Copa Argentina Final and they lost again to Estudiantes in the Trophy of Champions.

TOP TIPS: Pre or post match there is an excellent Argentine BBQ restaurant close to the stadium. Situated under a flyover motorway is the El Ferroviario Restaurant Parrilla. Well worth checking out when visiting the stadium.
