TICKETS: For Racing you will need to register with the club for free at RacingPass in order to be able to purchase tickets for up and coming games. They tend to go on sale the week of the game. 


PRE MATCH: A popular spot to soak up the pre match atmosphere and have a beer is on where Avenida Manuel Belgano and Italia meet. There are a number of shop in this area selling food and drink. 


HISTORY IN A NUTSHELL: The club was originally founded in 1898 but it wasn't until 1903 until they became known as Racing Club taking its name from a French Racing magazine. 
 
Racing are one of the 'Big Five' in Argentina and have won the league 18 times. The first of which was in 1913. They also have one Copa Libertadores to their name and one Copa Sudamericana.

 

DID YOU KNOW?: Their 2024 3-1 win in the Copa Sudamericana final against Cruzeiro had been a long time coming. Their last major continental honour came in 1967 after they beat Nacional of Uruguay to win the Copa Libertadores. It took 3 games for the final to be decided with the 1st two games ending in draws.  


TOP TIPS: When attending a game at El Cilindro and if you have time, the home of arch rivals Independiente is Just 100 metres to the south east of Racing Club.

El Cilindro is a 15 minute walk from S. y Koteski overground station. It can be reached from Constitucion train station which is a more centrally located station in Buenos Aires.
